Who we are
Cooking Souls is run by Mario Péres Reyes, a private chef based in the UK. Mario is responsible for the personal information you share through this website. You can contact him at cookingsoulss@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you send the contact form we collect your first and last name, phone number, email address and your message. We do not use cookies to track you or for advertising. Like any website, our host briefly records technical details such as your IP address to keep the site running and secure, and the fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry and, if you book with us, to plan and provide what you have asked for. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries you send us, and, when you book, taking the steps needed to agree and carry out the work with you.
Where it goes
Your enquiry is emailed to Mario and kept in the website’s secure database. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, and the email is sent through SendGrid. They handle your information only on our behalf, and some of this may take place outside the UK with the safeguards UK law requires. We never sell your information or share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 2 years, unless we are working with you. In that case we keep what we need for as long as the work, and our legal obligations such as accounting records, require.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or stop using it. Email cookingsoulss@gmail.com and we will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
